DescriptionThis is a print of an acrylic piece that was created for an event called 'Boots and Booties', which was a massive baby shower hosted by the Vernon Parish Chamber of Commerce for over 200 expectant military wives at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The original was on display at the Chamber and was eventually presented as a going away gift to the wife of the base Commander when they were reassigned to another army base.A copy of this print is being prepared for delivery to the White House and General Colin Powell.
Je Beaux, Detroit Metro area Member Since July 2013 Artist Statement I think I've been an artist since I was old enough to pick up a pencil, though I haven't done much in the way of painting or sketching for nearly 2 decades. Recently, in the summer of 2012, I was inspired to create a painting for an event called "Boots and Booties", a baby shower celebration for over 200 expectant military wives in Fort Polk, Louisiana. It was the first painting I'd done in almost 20 years and is the featured piece in my gallery.
Aside from being an artist, I'm also an award winning filmmaker, a screenwriter, photographer, author (got a book on Kindle) and board/card game creator.
