Description This image struck me while looking at some old camp buildings. The weathered metal and wood seemed soothing. Then, in the back ground I noticed the other hinges pointing back....as I am moving forward with brain injury rehab, there always seems to be something pushing against me ....pushing me back...something to fight against....3 To 1
Jim Dukes, Cary, North Carolina Member Since December 2012 Artist Statement Hi and thank you for visiting my Portfolio. My background is in design/build engineering but I have always had an internal spark for photography. A year ago I started rehabilitation for a Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD. I realized that as the technical part of my brain is seriously impaired, my creative side is blossoming! I am committed to exploring this form of expression as part of my ongoing rehab and fan the spark for art, into a burning fire. My hope is to inspire others with brain injuries, to find their voice...their expressive outlet thru music, painting, photography, etc., to enhance recovery. If you like my work and make a purchase, please send me a message so I can thank you personally.
