Tufani Mayfield, Rochester Member Since October 2008 Artist Statement I work best alone, without distractions and without interruptions.
I will not perform or seek prominence. My lifestyle is quiet and private. I do not seek the input or opinions of critics; hecklers are not welcome.
I am protective of my family and my rights. I maintain healthy boundaries and will moderate the balance between my individual needs and my duties to society. No regime will thwart my right to be who and how I am whether that regime be communist, feminist, white supremacist, black supremacist, urban, rural, laborer, white collar, familist, political or religious.
My adult life has been a painful process of recovering from abuse and attacks from the corruptions which have arisen in American society. I have endured many insults and disrespectful opinions from people and organizations that they either consciously or unconsciously represent.
My adversaries have alienated, slandered and committed libel against me for any number of "reasons" without accountability and with impunity. Meanwhile my integrity was attacked, career was terminated, my self esteem diminished, privacy squelched and my freedom stymied.
43 years old now, I seek justice and find it by doing as much as I can myself and leaving the rest up to the trustworthy and to God.
With the money I insist on earning I intend to become debt free, and make up for lost time.
Our right to adequate shelter and adequate standard of living must be enforced and I have yet to find a resource which will represent us. So this is my solution.
