Artist Statement I am a Manchester University Student of 19, I am a keen photographer and Traveler (having just returned from a 7 month stay in Sydney along with 2 months in Whistler). I have had a huge interest in photography ever since I was young and my parents encouraged me to peruse my passions from an early age buying me a hand held camera.

From 14 I chose to take GCSE art where I was able to experiment further, not only with photography but with paint and other mediums particularly Oil Pastel. I was also able to choose my own project area of focus, Decay, which I could develop into whatever I wanted. This is where I gained my biggest love for photography spending hours filling my project books with ideas to deform photographs and move away from standard pictures many of my peers seemed to have captured.

By 16 I had chosen to take photography as an Alevel choice. This is where I began most freely to experiment, using the dark room to develop film and print photos, as well as experiment by creating pictograms. My main projects were on the themes of; Distortion, Stereotypes, Senses and the Evidence of Human Presence. I have gained influence from many artists including the likes of David Hockney, Gerhard Richter, David Mach (selecting just a few of the well known ones).

Here are just a small selection of the pictures and works that I have created over the past 5 years.
Hope you enjoy!
