Management

Kevin Saliba

Chief Executive Officer, Imagekind, Inc.
As the Chief Executive Officer of Imagekind, Kevin brings more than 10 years of experience in business development, strategy and product development solutions from a range of leading brands in both online and offline industries.

Prior to joining Imagekind, Kevin was the Director of Strategic Initiatives at Expedia where he played a key role in the creation and growth of the company's private label online booking business known as WWTE. He also led Expedia's acquisition of several large affinity marketing partner sites, led the product planning for a points-based online redemption tool, and directed the Expedia Labs team in the launch of several new and innovative business products, such as Expedia's first desktop application ("Fare Alert"). Kevin also championed the launch of Expedia's partnership with TerraPass, which has now become the largest private carbon offset program in the country.

Kevin holds an MBA from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada.

Emanuel Bettelheim

Chief Technology Officer, Imagekind, Inc.
Emanuel Bettelheim joined Imagekind in May 2007 as Chief Technology Officer. He is responsible for product development and technology at Imagekind, including product management, software development, testing, IT and design.

Prior to joining Imagekind, Emanuel was Sr. Product Manager at Search Engine Ask.com (formerly Ask Jeeves) where he was responsible for the Webby award-winning mobile vertical Ask Mobile, which brought the search engine’s existing online experience to mobile phones, as well as the ground-breaking mapping products Ask Maps and the local search engine Ask City. He previously was responsible for yield management and financial analytics at Ask.com, managing the existing relationships with Google and Yahoo, which provide the bulk of revenue for the company, as well as optimization of the user experience to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.

Previously, Emanuel had worked at Expedia in various key roles, including Program Manager for Expedia's Telesales division and Product Manager for Customer Acquisition and Analytics. Telesales grew to become one of Expedia's greatest revenue drivers, with significant amount of Expedia's overall sales coming from the division. He also spent time as Product Planner and Manager of the Internal Technologies group, charged with developing many of the internal tools used for production, testing and deployment of Expedia's massive codebase, as well as automated monitoring and analysis of competitive products. During his tenure at Expedia Emanuel also spear-headed the company’s Search Engine Optimization efforts, making Expedia one of the first Fortune-500 companies to include SEO as a major customer acquisition strategy, and launched a number of cross-company initiatives for parent company IAC/InteractiveCorp, coordinating with many of the 60+ online brands owned by IAC such as Match.com, CitySearch, Lendingtree, HSN and ServiceMagic.

Emanuel received a dual Bachelor of Science degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Economics and Computer Science.

Robert Martin

Chief Marketing Officer, Imagekind, Inc.
Rob brings more than seventeen years of consumer marketing and organizational development experience to Imagekind, where he is responsible for all aspects of marketing including advertising, brand development, public relations and search engine marketing.

After graduation, he was hired by the Seattle SuperSonics as the assistant director of game operations and community relations. Later he became the league’s youngest vice president and added marketing and strategic communications to his areas of responsibility. In addition, he served as president of the Sonics & Storm T.E.A.M. (Teaching, Encouraging And Motivating) Foundation, the organization's self-funding 501(C)(3) foundation, and developed many on the league-wide initiatives that are still in existence today.

Prior to joining Imagekind, Rob was vice president of marketing and production at Tully's Coffee Corporation, a leading specialty coffee retailer and wholesaler. While at Tully's, he was a member of the executive team and his responsibilities included all marketing and advertising strategies, brand development, strategic communications as well as oversight of all aspects of the supply chain including purchasing, shipping/receiving, roasting, packaging, inventory and quality control.

Rob has won numerous league (NBA & WNBA) and industry awards including four gold Clio awards for television advertising campaigns and most notably, a Gold Lion from The Cannes International Advertising Festival for the "Sonics are Coming to Your Home" campaign. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism with a minor in graphic design from Western Washington University.

Board of Directors

Adrian Hanauer

Adrian Hanauer has over 15 years of business experience in a variety of industries. Adrian has invested in numerous early stage technology companies in gaming, advertising, infrastructure, and wireless communications and was a seed stage investor in aQuantive Inc., the largest interactive advertising company. He was also an early investor in Amazon.com

Adrian also brings a great deal of "brick and mortar" business success to the table. The Hanauer family owns the nation's largest pillow and bedding product manufacturing company, as well as a chain of picture framing stores which has grown to 60 stores and three divisions in the United States. In 2001, Adrian became co-owner and managing partner of the Seattle Sounders, a professional soccer franchise. In 2007, Adrian and other investors purchased a new Major League Soccer franchise which will compete in 2009.

Adrian is involved in many organizations in Seattle and sits on the advisory board of The University of Washington Intercollegiate Sports Master's Degree Program. He also is on the Board of Trustees for the Museum of History and Industry.

Kelly Smith

Kelly is a 15-year technology veteran and the founder or co-founder of three ventures: thePlatform (previously named RocketVox), Imagekind, and Curious Office Partners. Through Curious Office, Kelly is an active angel investor in growing companies like Shelfari, SEOmoz, Imagekind, CoolSpotters, FeedDigest and Wishpot.

Kelly's software experience also includes senior roles at Myrio Corporation, RealNetworks, and SPRY. He now serves on the board of Imagekind and on the advisory boards of GridNetworks and Wishpot.

Sven Achter

Sven Achter is a principal in the venture capital firm of Holtzbrinck Ventures, which focuses on investments in the software technology, mobile and gaming sectors.

Prior to Holtzbrinck Ventures, he was Lead Software Architect at Scout24 Business Services, the software engineering and project management subsidiary of Scout24 Group. His responsibilities included the design, project management and launch of Scout's real estate and financial services market places. Sven started his career at Hewlett-Packard where he held various positions in internet business consulting.

Sven holds a Master Degree in Computer Science from Technische Universität München. In 1996 Sven received the Dimitris N. Chorafas Foundation's Research Award.
