Laurent Aubin Member Since October 2010 Artist Statement I was born in 1963 in Paris of a self-taught mother after a poor background and a father whose fate rather easy was marked by the second world war that has disfigured but allowed him to contribute to the failure of a painter, famous Adolf Hitler. I drew and painted before writing. But I do not think I kept any work of that time, then rest assured knowing that this is just the same act I've done my whole life and especially now, since I made my profession now.
From my childhood in Catholic schools, I remember that I was a student normally lazy, and I spent most of my time to draw while listening. So when the time came for the pot, being possessed of a distraction just as average, I had my suitcase for overseas. Three years later, I decided to become an actor and integrated courses Pierre Reynal Drama Theatre de la Madeleine. Lacking security and gainful work, I spend most of my life to serve somehow different societies scholarships, estate managers, pharmaceutical supplies, etc. ...
Child deeply lonely but very sociable, I had no attraction for the studies and could not imagine their purpose. And I spent my life trying to integrate into this society which is illusory unveiled over time. Besides a first-year enrollment capacity of law at the Sorbonne, an almost year bank certificate, a diploma of gardener landscaping and a master of international sales management, I spent one year at CIM (Paris XVIII) and I ventured briefly at the piano bar. Six hours of torture for a few tips dissuaded me to persevere.
It took me thirty years of reflection before finding that the painting was a means of expression that had never left me satisfied and full.
