DescriptionGroup of African women that were camped out in front of the local hospital waiting for the doctor to come to town to do free eye surgeries. These women traveled for days by foot, with neighbors & relatives to receive this medical care and basically camped out right in front of the hospital for weeks, sometimes months, until their companions could travel again. These women were incredibly inspirational and their courage was unbounding!
Debbie Creighton, Charlotte, NC Member Since January 2011 Artist Statement Hi! I'm Debbie Creighton - one of the parnters in D & D Organizational Services and Design Services LLC.
I recently sold many of the photos on this site at a charity auction, and have had many customers as well as a vendor ask if these items were sold on line. At that time they were not. But, we are now able to offer them for sale through imagekind.com and are able to give 25% or the proceeds to a charity close to our hearts!
As a committe member for "Seeds of Hope", we are able to help teenage girls in Rwanda that are orphans and victims of the genocide. These girls would likely have no chance for an education and very limited options for their future without this program.
