Artist Statement My love for photography began in high school upon purchasing my first camera, a manual 35mm Nikon. I became the yearbook photographer my senior year. My most favorite subjects are nature and animals. My prayers were answered when digital cameras were invented. No more wasted photos due to improper film loading, poor lighting, etc. In 2007 after painting a picture on the wall above my cooktop, I signed up for a discernment of charisms workshop at my parish. I soon discovered that one of my spiritual gifts was craftsmanship. Since then I have painted four icons, but am still discerning how I should continue using my creativity for the glory of God. My passion is to inspire those around me through my art. I share a home with my husband, three daughters, a labradoodle, a cat, an African grey parrot, a parakeet, a rabbit, and a hamster. Art surrounds you. Hold on to your dreams...
