A glimmering pool of rainbow colors surround a water droplet explosion. These crown-like formations tend to occur during the split second of impact...the collision between a pool of water and a water droplet.
This is a digital water droplet photograph, and part of the Alien Water series. Ultra-close-up photography from a higher Z-Axis was used to capture this image. High-speed shutter and flash are necessary for this type of work...and a good deal of luck & timing!
