Description The analemma is a record of the sun's movement over the course of a year. It shows the north-south movement as well as the sun's speeding up and slowing down in relation to clock time. The enhanced sunrise was due to the erruption of Mt. Pinatubo. See my website www.zullophoto.com for more about the analemma.
Frank Zullo, Phoenix, AZ Member Since May 2011 Artist Statement I have been a professional photographer for about 40 years. Whether as a documentary film cameraman, a television news cameraman or a trudging-through-the-wilds, staying-up-all-night nature photographer, I always seem to be looking through a viewfinder exploring and trying to capture one of life's many interesting aspects.
I am a true lover of the desert with its hard-edged landscapes and wide open skies. Most recently I have been focusing my explorations on Native American rock art and archaeoastronomy.
