Description Since the 60's, Detroit's population has plummeted from 1.8 million to barely over 700,000. Much of the city has simply been abandoned. This 2011 shot is from the Renaissance Center (General Motors headquarters), manipulated to resemble those Renaissance paintings where the heavens seem ready to burst open. The bankrupt Motor City needs a helping hand.
