DescriptionI got this shot as we walked along the trail in Ten Thousand Islands Preserve in SW Florida. This Anhinga popped up from the water just a few feet away and hoped onto a tree limb with his catch. Luckily I was able to get off a couple of shots before she jumped back in and swam to the other side of the canal to juggle her catch into position before swallowing it whole.

I have always had an interest in photography & have been the guy with the camera at family events, etc. Now,that I have recently retired, I have the time to study & get serious with this wonderful craft. I am having a great time discovering & learning all the nuances of my newest camera, the Canon 7D. For most of my wildlife images I use the Canon Zoom Lens EF 100-400mm L series. My main interest is wildlife and nature photography, but I will also focus my attention on most any subject that moves me. In addition, I do enjoy manipulating images with Photoshop. I do hope you enjoy as much as I do the fine details of my photographic subjects!
