Artist Statement When not in my office, I'm looking at the world with a photographic eye. I prefer the outdoors and nature for my outings, but really will shoot any subject matter.
I like to believe that what's behind the camera is as important as the brand on the front. Most of the shots are taken with a Kodak and/or Panasonic ultra-zoom while on a photo walk Max, my canine sidekick.
Max and I have a symbiotic relationship. Dachshunds are true scent hounds so he pauses frequently to analyze a low lying scent. This hesitation gives me the perfect opportunity to survey the scene around me and contributes to many macro shots as well. He satisfies his hunting instinct and I get a great photo.
I published a book on the picturesque French Creek State Park in southern Berks County, PA. (see my website for a link to preview the book)
