Description Arches of the New Building at Magdalen. The New Building was built across a large lawn to the north of the Great Quad in 1733. Its spacious setting is due to the builders' intentions to create an entirely new quad, but only one side was completed. C. S. Lewis had his rooms in this building during the time he was a tutor. As there are very few student rooms (many being occupied by tutors), these rooms are highly sought after.
Michelle Lambert Member Since March 2010 Artist Statement My photography attempts to combine my love of traveling and photography by capturing the essence of different cultures and their unique beauty. Each country I have visited has its own mannerisms, architecture, and color of life. It is these differences that so fascinate me, and I can not help but get excited whenever I get to capture these differences on film... or more currently, on digital film. I have been to Ireland, Scotland, Italy, France, and Germany, and lived in England with my husband for a time. It is our hope that we can one day live there again. How I miss being able to hop on RyanAir and go to Paris for the weekend!
