Artist Statement I make photographs that speak and touch and gather in the breath of waterfalls...the Great Sonoran Desert is a land to get lost in...and Alaska...Europe...the Americas...Caribbean...the Galapagos Islands...Mexico...and the steaming cloud forests of the Ecuadorian Amazon. I have rented Stonehenge for photographs...I have scaled pyramids...flown ultralights...climbed mountains...hired helicopters and seaplanes...descended into volcanos on four continents...run rivers...trekked the Grand Canyon...chased flying fish in the Bermuda Triangle...lifted above the desert floor in paraplanes...peered into space...chased venomous snakes...dared tornados and waterspouts...slogged through Alaska's spruce bogs...trod the cloudforests of the Andes and the Alps...And I have encountered rare and endangered species in all those places.
