DescriptionA crisp, autumn morning in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado begins with the glow of the golden Aspens and the scent of the wild. On this morning, the lightest of frosts had just dissolved in the dawn. The bugle of elk ruptured the silence of the forest. While no path could be seen, the aspen forest called and the first step led to the next and then one more. Seemed like the meaning of peace.
JoAnn McCleeary, Kansas Member Since February 2009 Artist Statement Looking for what can calm the spirit and soothe the soul is a major goal of mine. The peaceful aspect of the natural realm is what grounds me. In the detail of nature, that which is usually too small to notice with the casual glance from the car window, we can see the nature of the Creator. My art is meant to bring calmness and meaning to my relationhship with God and increase my motivation to do his work. My hope is that you can appreciate creation in the same way.
