Linda J Taylor, Kansas City Metropolitan Area Member Since March 2013 Artist Statement My love of art and the beauty of the outdoors began at a very early age and I was constantly seeking ways to to celebrate it. As a child growing up in Puerto Rico, I was excited about seeing new things and portraying them in my work.
After returning stateside and attending college, I spent free time learning to draw and paint, although not to my satisfaction and have had minimal formal study and training.
I learned to create as a stained glass artist for 30 years, designing many of my patterns as well as designing in needlework. A friend convinced me that I could draw, and I found that I could. I did for a short time, but I am enjoying exploring photography , which gives me more immediate satisfaction. I plan to return to drawing and painting again some day.
I am overwhelmed with the beauty all around me in so many ways and in so many places. I want to share that and help others see it with the eyes of our hearts.
