Conwy or Conway is a small fortified coastal town in North Wales. We had a few days away there in Oct 2006. This started out as a simple line drawing but I felt it was lacking something and eventually the colours of north Wales came flooding into the picture. The area used to provide most of the slate for the roof's of Britain. The slate is deep blue with pink and purple hues.
