Description The last of the breed: a 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS-6. To say that it's hot is like saying Beyonce is decent looking and sings a little. This baby is RED HOT. Batman couldn't have asked for more. But GM saw fit to retire the model, and now we hear they're thinking of retiring the entire brand. No more Bonnevilles. No more Trans Ams. No more GTOs. The world is upside down.
Gordon Summer, San Diego Member Since August 2008 Artist Statement I'm really an ad guy . . . more of a marketing type. But I love cars. Used to collect 'em. But made the decision to go urban 15 years ago, and a high-rise in a city ain't no place to keep a car collection. So they're gone. I like to say I've bought and sold maybe $3 or $4 million worth of great cars over the years . . . for a grand total of $116,000.
Anyway, now I take photos of classics, sports, exotics, muscle cars, and misc. special interest autos, manipulate 'em digitally, and do giclee prints. They take up so much less space, and don't drip anything on the floor!
