Artist Statement I am a life long resident of Tampa, Florida. This site is about my photography (which I call, "Automotography").

Ever since I can remember, I have been a car guy. One of my earliest childhood memories is when my parents bought me my first "Hot Wheels" set and all of the fun I had playing with it. From there, I graduated to slot cars and "Cox" model racing cars.

When I turned 15, I drove my dad nuts in search of my first car and begging him to buy me one. I had my heart set on getting a 1963-1967 Corvette. However, they were way too expensive. (My dad would say, "I'm not paying 5,000 bucks for a car that's 15 years old!") So, after a couple of years of wearing him down, I finally convinced (i.e., nagged) him to buy me 1969 Camaro, when I was a senior in high school in 1979. The body was pretty rusty and full of bondo, but it was a really fast convertible and had a lot of potential for $1,800. My dad, my brothers, my uncle, and I went to work on it just about every weekend. By graduation, the car was looking pretty sweet with a new red paint job.

During high school, I also picked up photography as a hobby. So, being a gear head, cars became one of my favorite things to take pictures of. That was almost 30 years ago, and I still love cars and photography. I am constantly dragging my family to car shows with me. Now, after practicing law for over 20 years at a great firm, I finally saved up enough money to buy myself a 1966 Corvette roadster. (Guess what? They don't cost $5,000 any more!) One of my favorite things to do is drive my 13-year old son around town in it.

Anyway, a few of years ago, I discovered some funky digital photomanipulation techniques. Naturally, I had to try them on my favorite pictures. The results are what you see on this site.

Also, if you see something you like, you can order it with or without a border, change the colors of the border or the image, and insert or change the caption to suit your needs. Just send me an email message with your requested changes, and I will upload the identical image with your personalized modifications!
