Artist Statement Since unveiling his work in July of TWENTYTEN, Mike NO has brought the author back to life with his no brush style of NO ART. He is the Author UNDEAD. His artwork takes a critical view of the inherent personal, ideological, and social contentions. When he works, he is deconstructing the AMERICAN NIGHTMARE, the poverty stricken, the scorned, the outcastes, the oppressed, the rejected, and the lost. He is the voice with no perceptible face. He is the fork in the road, if you were to go straight.

"And in he walked. He was dark too, and I don’t mean dark-skinned. This was different.
It was if he was always walking in a shadow. Every step he took towards the light, just
when you thought his face would be revealed, it wasn’t. It was as if the light dimmed…
just for him. "

With his exploitations of a diversity of materials and processes in each piece, it is the caliginosity that exposes. What is revealed is the face of the broken, the afflicted, the condemned, the face of the missing sheep. He is the one thing retained when all has been ravaged and torn from your grasp.

HE IS NO.
