Description This shot was taken in our 2011 visit to Siem Reap, Cambodia. A visit I would recommend. This extremely complex Cambodian Hindu temple built in the 12th to 13th centuries is well known for its collection of four-face towers. According to our guide, each face points in one of the four compass points and represent the four elements in the Hindu worldview. It was the state temple of the ancient Khmer capital city of Angkor Thom. The weather was a bit moody which led to some rather dynamic photos. There is a lot more where this came from. Take a look at my gallery.
