Shane Greer, Ruston Member Since March 2012 Artist Statement Shane Greer was born in Shreveport, Louisiana in 1992. He spent his childhood living in the rural community of Bethany, Louisiana. Since childhood, he has always had a vivid imagination and ambitions to make his imaginings become reality. Visual art and storytelling became his escape at a young age. He developed his skills throughout school and at home alongside his brother and fellow artist, Shun Greer.
Greer compiled a variety of influences to help develop his artwork. He started with animation and illustration and eventually found a keen interest in conceptual art, abstract art, architecture, contemporary art, expressionism, cubism, surrealism, ancient art, and classical art. His content ranges greatly. His art has been published in graphic novels by Charlie "FAB" Goubile and Gerald Boney. He is currently enrolled at Louisiana Tech University where he majors in Studio Art.
