Artist Statement Emerging artist specializing in vibrant botanical inspired acrylic paintings. Karen's artwork is meant to be pleasing to the eye and senses, straightforward subject matter that makes you feel good to look at it and also looks great on your wall. Karen's love of nature and passion for color inspire each piece, bringing a uniqueness to her realistic and sometimes fantastical style.

Background - Karen has been dabbling in art her whole life, but when it comes to formal training the list is short. At the college level: a drawing fundamentals course (1992), intro to design (1994), and intro painting (1997). Ta da!
