Description Rocky Mountain Elk bulls add atmosphere to the wilderness in autumn when they enter the breeding season and their bugles echo throughout the hills and forests as they seek to establish dominance of their territories and their ladies. Barbara Magnuson & Larry Kimball, Cotopaxi Member Since February 2007 Artist Statement We have been working together as professional nature and landscape photographers for over 30 years traveling throughout Colorado and the western United States, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Panama. Although we claim no photographic specialties other than a serious passion for wilderness and wildlife; we photograph anything that catches our eyes in the outdoors in order to share our wonders with others.
We've been fortunate enough to have been published world-wide in both books and magazines, calendars, greeting cards and posters, educational materials and field guides. Our book, A Field Guide to Plants of Costa Rica, we're proud to say is on sale at your local bookstores as well as online through Oxford University Press, Amazon.com and others. It's a culmination of field work which took the better part of 12 years throughout the beautiful country of Costa Rica. If you are planning a visit to Costa Rica and love plants you may want to obtain a copy.
