Description Cumulus clouds build up over these desert mountains on a summer afternoon, Scottsdale, Arizona. During the desert's monsoon season this is usually a daily occurrence as the ground radiates heat and warms moist air driving the formation of clouds into thunderstorms.
Frank Zullo, Phoenix, AZ Member Since May 2011 Artist Statement I have been a professional photographer for about 40 years. Whether as a documentary film cameraman, a television news cameraman or a trudging-through-the-wilds, staying-up-all-night nature photographer, I always seem to be looking through a viewfinder exploring and trying to capture one of life's many interesting aspects.
I am a true lover of the desert with its hard-edged landscapes and wide open skies. Most recently I have been focusing my explorations on Native American rock art and archaeoastronomy.
