Artist Statement I am a freelance photographer in Warrenton, Virginia, a suburb of Washington D.C. My love of photography began at age seven and I have enjoyed making photographs for my forty-years since then. Using the camera as my eyes, I learned to appreciate the small details of life and the things that make up the world we live in. The camera allows me to depict the world around me in my unique fashion. My photography is how I speak. Every opportunity to make a photograph is an opportunity for me to create art and a chance for me to share with others my passion for modern, photojournalistic style photography

I have always had a passion for working in monochrome and have been inspired by the work of photographers like Ansel Adams, Walker Evans, Paul Strand and Edward Weston. For a more comprehensive look into my work, please take a few minutes and visit my website at www.richardruddle.com. From there you will be able to view a more complete portfolio on my Flickr photostream as well as find out more information on contracting freelance photography and other services I offer.

I look forward to hearing from you and thank you for your business!
