Samir Mirani, Pinole Member Since October 2011 Artist Statement "Thanks for taking the time to look at my photos! There really is no grand purpose to it all. It's just what I thought looked distinct through different perspectives," says Sam.
Presently, Samir Mirani is working and starting this business which takes up 90% of his time. So other than going on an occasional hike to take pictures, he doesn't do anything else. He lives in a suburb of San Francisco, California and dreams to spend his life traveling the world and witnessing different cultures first hand.
On His Job Sam is currently a Web Application developer for a company in the Environmental Sustainability market. He started this career and has written software for 3 Fortune 150 companies.
On Photography Since Sam was a kid, he was always trying to find cool wallpapers for his computer. It turned out into him taking his own desktop backgrounds. Thanks to his sister and brother-in-law who started to go into photography, they showed him the great art that can be accomplished with it.
He uses a Nikon D5100 with an assortment of lenses. He loves macro and enjoys landscape/vista, night sky, and abstract photography, as well.
