DescriptionQuickly and insistently, the Old One taught them ceremony for a full, intense day, teaching them an intricate ritual which would clear their misdeeds and return their spirits to normal. Paul wasnt sure he could remember anything he was being shown, and Christina was certain their lesson would take at least several days to learn, but the medicine man worked quickly, urgently, teaching them specific hand motions and words and melodic chants, intolerant of any error. He had them repeat the phrases and incantations and mirror his movements over and over, quickly, precisely, genuinely from their beleaguered hearts, until they could perform the complex rite without needing his prompting.
Kay Stoner, Boston Member Since August 2007 Artist Statement I am a mixed media artist, writer, and poet who works with sacred geometries and colors to chronicle and archive the energetic experiences of myself and the collective consciousness.
I have been working with fractal images since the late 1990s, and I continue to be amazed by their intricacy and transitory nature. It is my honor and privilege to "midwife" them into being... the real magic happens in a space that no one can consciously approach... what remains for me -- for us all, really -- is to remain open and attendant and to do the best we can with the tools we've been given.
I have published numerous books of poetry and prose, and I have been working in mixed media for over 20 years. I am an avid student of mythology and symbolism, and I find the archetypes and abstractions of alchemy to be highly useful in creating my art, as well as the life I live. I have been employed in the legal field, high-tech, and financial services, and I bring to my art the intention of supporting and strengthening excellence in all activities, through the deliberate use of color, shape, geometries, and proportion.
