Description Prickly Pear cactus and Palo Verde Tree--these are some of the colors that you will notice while walking in the desert if you are looking for them--otherwise you will just see the boring desert.
Gayela Chapman, Peoria, AZ Member Since July 2009 Artist Statement I believe that God gives each of us different talents and gifts to share with others. God has given me the ability to be creative through watercolor, drawing, and crocheting. I am basically a self-taught artist which I have had a few art classes and have learned from reading books. For as long as I can remember I have always loved to create things through color and different textures, but I did not begin painting until I was an adult. I love to paint different subjects and love bold, vivid colors. I hope when people see my paintings that they too will be inspired to search out their talents and gifts that God has given them.
Some of my paintings have been juried in at the Arizona State Fair and the Avondale Worldfest Exhibit. I hope you enjoy my paintings and hopefully find a couple of them that speak to you. Thank you for taking the time to look, which I invite you to leave a comment and come back soon.
