DescriptionI spent part of my life helping run a rescue shelter for cats out of my house. I was truly shocked to learn how casually cruel people could be to animals. This is Ripley, a lovely little cat who was living outside of an older womans home. She was doing her best to take care of them but her step sons would regularly come over with their Rotweilers and threaten to sic them on the cats in her care.
Kerry Connell, Oregon Member Since March 2008 Artist Statement When I was younger I had time to draw, and I would do it as often as possible. Now I seem to find that my time is occupied by so many other things that drawing just has fallen to the side of the road. Luckily for me a good friend introduced me to the joy's of the camera. When I started shooting his number one advice to me was to take my camera everywhere, and to that advice I have been true.
To me photography is like life. It is about constantly growing and learning. I try to use my camera to capture the sights that excite my eyes and mind. I hope that sharing them here will bring that excitement to another.
