Artist Statement In the Mid 1980's, I took up photography as a hobby. My primary focus at that time was Wildlife with Landscape, Nature, & Old Farm Buildings of Mid Missouri being secondary. Of course at that time most serious photographers were still using Slide film for quality photos. Digital photography had not yet come into it's own as it has now.

In the late 1990's I sold off my semi-professional equipment and had to focus the cost more on training for my job so I could improve my performance in an increasing IT environment. I also took all the quality slides I had of wildlife and gave them to the local National Wildlife Refuge and relinquished any copyrights I had. Because of that, I don't have any of the very best work that I did in that time frame.

Recently, I decided that I wanted to get back into Photography and purchased a DSLR just to see if the passion was still there and it was. My current focus has shifted more to what had been secondary due to the time of year and the preparation needed for Wildlife. The Photo's in my collection feature some of the Slides I have had professionally scanned and some I just currently took with the DSLR camera.
