JOHN CHAO, Bellevue Member Since November 2009 Artist Statement JOHN is a nature & travel photographer living in the Seattle, WA area. In 1991 he left the rancorous congestion of Manhattan & East Coast. Ever since, his photography reflects Creation's natural beauty in the Northwest & West. Interests include National Parks, travel scenics, night skies, mountain aerials, winter views & environmental photojournalism.
His work has been recognized in juried exhibitions, published in books including "Best of the Northwest", magazines (Audubon, National Geographic publications, Outdoor Photographer, etc.), newspapers, notecards, calendars & used by National Parks. He is a Volunteer Photographer for the National Park Service, Washington's National Park Fund (www.wnpf.org), & Advisory Board Member for the Photography Program at Bellevue College, Bellevue, WA.
