Based on a lamp in the Caddo Parish courthouse in Shreveport, Louisiana. The lamp--or chandelier, as I like to call it--hangs from the ornate ceiling of the first floor.
This piece is a combination of hand-painted acrylic and computer manipulation. First, I painted the piece in acrylic. Next, I manipulated the image of the painting, pushing the colors to get a bright, almost surrealistic effect.
