My art was influenced by Maude Baldwin after moving to the Klamath Falls area. I have taken many art classes throughout the course of my education each one exposed me to something different. My instructors praised me for seeing things in pleasantly unique ways. As a result of learning about Maude Baldwin, I decided to take-up the camera to preserve some of the history and raw beauty of this area.
My art will include: animals, barns, brush, buildings, canyons, caves, civil war, (my personal favorite contemporary), farm, fences, fires, flowers, Native American, mountains, rivers & waterfalls, sealife, shacks, ships/boats, snow & ice, stairwells, sunsets, trees, wagons & waterscapes. I am looking forward to traveling so that I may capture more diversity allowing me to share what I see with all of you.
It looks like Yosemite National Park will have permanent closures at specific locations due to falling boulders which are the single biggest force shaping the Yosemite Valley (one of the most popular tourist destinations in the national park system). Swaths of some popular haunts are closing for good. Geologist, Greg Stock states that there are no absolutely safe areas in Yosemite Valley. There will be 18 more areas in the park that will close in 2012. Some of the areas that are now off limits are in my galleries.
Remember "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life" (Picasso).
