Description This wall hanging was inspired by a crop circle in Bishop's Cannings, Wiltshire (UK) 1997. The materials used were coconut husks, pumice stones, shellgrit, Casuarina (She Oak) seed pods, crushed mica and a scallop shell.
Tammi Nicol, Townsville Member Since September 2009 Artist Statement T J Nicol: Turning nature's trash into artistic treasures
I'm a beginner artist looking for ways to promote my work. I make wall hangings incorporating 'nature's trash' (gum nuts, sticks, shells, seed pods etc) on canvases in different designs. They do not fit into any classical genre/category...the closest I can suggest is 'Assemblage'. I also dabble in a little photography.
I am excited by websites like 'Imagekind' and can't wait to see the results!
