Description Not long after the turks invaded cyprus, they did this to the hillside to the north of the capital, taken from the woolworth observatory tower on the south side, not a remarkable picture itself but I had to take it so the public one day would have a chance to see it, and draw there own conclusions... well... what do you think ?? How do you think the cypriots felt whenever they looked up and saw that ? I know how i would feel, just recently the dividing wall through the only capital in the world left to have this, was taken down along with some of the UN checkpoints, and now the Turks want entry to the EU. The old capital Famagusta was left exactly the way it was after the fighting..a ghost town, still shelled and bullet holed. Should they be allowed to join the EU after illegally occupying a foreign land for so long ?? Your views please.. what do you .. the public.. think ?
Billy Whyte, fife Member Since April 2008 Artist Statement I love capturing the colours of the outdoors, and being outdoors, when you take a photo, its a split second captured in life, photo,s should tell there own stories without saying a word. Whether that be an emotion, an action, a season, or a colour for that matter.
Anyone outside the US who is interested in buying my work can email me with their requirements. I also supply in parts so if you wish the photo only, then I can arrange this, and whatever size you would like.
