Artist Statement I have been a photographer for fun for over 25 years. I began freelancing as a photographer in the last 3 years. I love to capture those special random moments of my weiner dog, especially since she doesn't have to pause to fix her make up.

I sell a lot of my photos on ebay, but imagekind has an option to showcase on canvas or enlargement. I have, up until this point, donated all proceeds of my art to the Dachshund Rescue of North America, but some of my newer creations go to fund new equipment.

As any photographer knows, you capture less perfect pictures than more, but what to do with those other shots that are slightly out of focus? Or those shots where the subject blinked? Or the hundreds of shots you deemed useless, simply because there was that one in a hundred of its kind that was worthy of being printed in raw form--no effects added?

I found that adding photo editing effects was a way to widen my possibilities for selling. Some of the pictures in my gallery are sold elsewhere in their original format. My favorite style is Impressionism, followed closely by Watercolor. I sometimes overlay a Pointillist style over the already edited style for a different dimension. Even though some of my shots are posed, and indoors, I enjoy Impressionism the best. I love the brush stroke look.
