Description Scorpius has almost completely risen, with just a part of the Scorpion's Tail below the horizon in this scene looking southwest towards Delicate Arch, Arches National Park, Utah. Antares, the Rival of Mars, is the bright reddish star just above the arch. The star cluster M7 is left of the arch, and the bright Sagittarius Star Cloud is at the left edge of the image.
Frank Zullo, Phoenix, AZ Member Since May 2011 Artist Statement I have been a professional photographer for about 40 years. Whether as a documentary film cameraman, a television news cameraman or a trudging-through-the-wilds, staying-up-all-night nature photographer, I always seem to be looking through a viewfinder exploring and trying to capture one of life's many interesting aspects.
I am a true lover of the desert with its hard-edged landscapes and wide open skies. Most recently I have been focusing my explorations on Native American rock art and archaeoastronomy.
