Description Late afternoon summer storm forms a rainbow over the desert viewed from Peralta Road in the foothills of the Superstition Mountains, Arizona. The sun had broken out of the clouds just before setting and the redder light accentuated that color of the rainbow. With the sun's position very low, the rainbow made a very high arc into the sky.
Frank Zullo, Phoenix, AZ Member Since May 2011 Artist Statement I have been a professional photographer for about 40 years. Whether as a documentary film cameraman, a television news cameraman or a trudging-through-the-wilds, staying-up-all-night nature photographer, I always seem to be looking through a viewfinder exploring and trying to capture one of life's many interesting aspects.
I am a true lover of the desert with its hard-edged landscapes and wide open skies. Most recently I have been focusing my explorations on Native American rock art and archaeoastronomy.
