Description Deuteronomy was Moses last chance to teach the people of Israel and in chapter 6 he tells the people the instruction he is giving them is so important they should commit themselves to the commands and repeat them again and again to their children. He tells them to keep these commands so close its as if you would tie them to your hands and foreheads.Moses wanted this teaching to be a part of them and the pinacle of this teaching was the command to love God with absolutely everything they had.
Josh Byers, Polk City Member Since March 2012 Artist Statement I’m a ordinary guy who has been blessed with a beautiful wife, three awesome kids, a job I love, a church that is a family and a life I don’t deserve.
My passions and pursuits vary and change as time goes on but these are the things I’m most consistently fond of: playing Super Mario Bros. with my family, watching movies and serial TV shows, the Denver Broncos, drinking way too many Starbucks mochas and cans of Coke Zero, listening to film scores, designing fun and beautiful things and purchasing just about anything that Apple makes.
I’m trying to be a better writer and would love to write a book someday. I’m an amateur photographer and I just purchased my first prime lens. I’m a former high school athlete who thinks he was better was than he really was even though I have the letter jacket to prove it… I still love to play flag football, softball, racquetball and anything else that gives me an excuse to exercise my competitive nature.
My one claim to fame is that I created a website for movie star Rachel McAdams which then was then featured by multiple media outlets including USA Today and the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brian.
Because Jesus died and came back to life I’m able to have my sins forgiven. I follow Him with a passion and with no apologies. Since I am a Christian and my worldview is that of a Christ follower everything I do is in light of that worldview. My design and pursuits are all attempts to image my creator in a way that brings Him the most glory.
