DescriptionThis old wooden fence stands to divide the desert to keep the cattle within the western grazing lands. This is a digital painting from a photo of the side of an old cattle chute on the Sonoran desert of Arizona.
Jenice McQuarrie, Arizona, USA Member Since March 2007 Artist Statement I don't consider myself an artist in any traditional sense but I love dabbling in drawing, graphic art and digital photography. When young, I would spend hours upon hours drawing horses just like many young girls. I was encouraged by my dad to consider becoming a commercial artist, but when he directed my attention to drawings of fashion and such, I just had no interest. If it didn't pertain to animals, it didn't intrigue me.
Horses are a life-long passion along with nature and wildlife in general. As a young adult I stepped away from drawing and art to pursue raising a family and ultimately a career of working with my passion, horses. I have been fortunate enough to have a lifestyle that has kept me immersed in the world of equine. Visit my Horses gallery.
I find the natural world to be an awe-inspiring place of beauty and wonder. My galleries currently focus on that natural world with photographs and digital paintings comprised of horses, giraffes and zebras, deer and elk, polar bears, and other wildlife. Click here to View All my galleries.
