DescriptionThis image was shot on a corner in downtown Boise, ID. I liked the lines and shapes in the sculpture (foreground), the parking garage (middle) and bank building (background). As I worked on the image in Photoshop I decided to see what happened when I flipped the image. I reduced the opacity on the center portion of the image allowing them to overlap and came up with a whole new geometric image.
Jane Rohling, Eagle, ID Member Since January 2009 Artist Statement I have been a photographer for over 35 years. Most of my images have been of natural subjects and photography has been a valuable tool in my profession as an interpreter of natural and cultural history. In recent years I've been challenging myself to shoot many more subjects. I'm particularly enjoying working with details taken out of context, juxtapositions of man-made and natural elements, and with abstract patterns. Digital photography has given me the freedom to experiment and play with the images in the camera and in the computer. I hope you enjoy the results!
Note: Many of the images in my galleries are available in much larger files than I have uploaded here. Please contact me if you're interested in a larger size print that what than the file that appears in the gallery to see if I have a larger file.
