Description ________________________________________________________________This is a Daz Studio rendered illustration of a clay golem protecting her maker from the lurking shadows of the dark forest.___________________________________________________________I've tried to do as much as possible in DAZ Studio&Hexagon, (Hexagon is shipped with DAZ Studio and has direct bridge between the two programs)...but unfortunately I had to use third party modelling software for some of the small stuff.__________________________________________________________HERE'S SOME TECHNICAL INFO ON HOW I DID IT:__________________________________________________________I used the old DAZ Studio 'Elemental Figure' to create the clay golem, manipulated it a bit in DAZ Studio product 'Hexagon' , then added new material with layered bump maps, diffuse color is a simple rock texture with brown color added and some reddish plain ambient color. The Druidess was made out of 'Stephanie Petit' figure, Celestial Hair V4 (can't remember wich one of them, but it had something called amazon-hair morph). Then I added the horns on her individually, they are from the DAZ studio holiday pack reindeer, I used 'Hexagon' again to delete the reindeer and left only the horns, placed them on the head of Stephanie. The dress is 'Wedding Dress 5 A', changed textures into my own fabric texture and added more ambient to get it a bit brighter than rest of the picture. The staff on her hand is actually a spear, IDTSpearVS, from which I deleted the blade, the end and adjusted the handles, then retextured it.She got some thin shoes on too but they wont show so much....I modelled the lizard on the right corner by 'Hexagon', and UV-Mapperd/Texture painted it in z-Brush.The trees and the roots are SpeedTree Modeler created, Except for two of them are DAZ Studio trees. The boulders are a cool morphable DAZ studio product called 'RoundStone' made by 'StoneWare' , with additional textures added on them.Grass plant

My name is Kim Besides of DAZ renders, I'm a real life oil painter/illustrator. I started discovering 3D/2.5D art some years ago, when I stumbled upon this fantastic piece of software in my experimentations.
I've been using 3D Daz Studio for couple of years now, and I've become, in my opinion, talented enough with this software to have the courage to start displaying my works for the public as well.
Sometimes I might add exterior elements into the DAZ scene, like imported textures, imported 3D objects created in third party 3d modelling programs.
My softwares of choise are:
- DAZ STUDIO PRO (ofcourse, for the main scene)
- Hexagon (DAZ STUDIO product, a modelling program to create morphs easily onto DAZ STUDIO figures as well as fixing popthroughs in clothing, and modeling of some of the props)
- Photoshop cs6 (Postwork, color enhancement)
- Makehuman 0.9.0 (the old, abandoned version of makehuman, not available anymore, for creature effects like limbs, hands, etc, which I then paste on the DAZ figure skin shell in zBrush, using the zBrush's 'dynamesh' function)
- zBrush (for morphs, some texture painting, and pasting "bodyparts" from makehuman)
- 3D Blender (sometimes for UV re-mapping, some modeling)
