Description Echinacea commonly called the Purple coneflowers, is a genus of nine species of herbaceous plants in the Family Asteraceae. All are strictly native to eastern and central North America. The plants have large showy heads of composite flowers, blooming from early to late summer. Some species are used in herbal medicines.
Stu Suchit, Stony Brook Member Since December 2007 Artist Statement Stu was born in Trinidad where he mostly ran around naked. He then moved to New York City where he mostly studied art. He now lives in the wilderness of Long Island where he does art, mostly naked.
