Description Original colored ink drawing on paper. The magical appearance of this woodland scene draws you into it's somewhat colorful beauty, yet slightly eerie depths. Upon close inspection you might find that the trees may have gnarled faces, and seem to be gaurding the path as it leads back through the forest. Curiousity beackons you. But will these inhabitants of the wood's edge, whose roots seem to barely touch the ground, inperseptively move in behind you as you pass by? Thereby effectively blocking, or disguising your way out of the wilderness? Or will their creaking limbs reach down to grab you with their long spindlely fingers and entrap you while other unseen creatures move mysteriously out from the undergrowth?
Rhonda L. Hall, Corning NY Member Since November 2007 Artist Statement I have always loved photography, drawing and painting, among other creative endeavors. I am a self taught artiist, though I have taken a few classes through the years. Other interests such as reading, genealogy, hiking, nature, geology and environmental issues are often reflected in my work, although I like to experiment with anything that catches my interest.
I enjoy working with Mixed Media, and Bead and Jewelry making as well. I have been working with recycled materials in creating artwork, and would love to learn to weld and make outdoor sculptures from recycled finds.
I hope you will find some pleasure in the images I have included here, and I appreciate your interest. Thanks for stopping by.
