Description This is Esmerelda's favorite spot, filled with magical plants and creatures that respond to her care. The original work is a collage made with various art and lace papers, hand-decorated paste papers and watercolors. The figures were painted on lightweight watercolor paper and meticulously cut out, then glued to high quality illustration board. The print shows the details and textures quite well.
Heidi Eisenmann-Jones, Mountain View, MO Member Since November 2008 Artist Statement I have lived in rural areas most of my life, and have developed a deep connection to nature. I now live in the Missouri Ozarks with my husband and two dogs. We have 70 acres, 2 1/2 of which is a market garden where we grow organic vegetables and berries to sell at a farmers' market. Artwork helps me express the conviction that the earth is calling for our attention and cooperation. So much depends on this! I want to help others re-connect with the delight, wonder, mystery and magic we all felt as children when exploring the natural world. My watercolor fairies represent the beauty, purity and fragility of nature. I hope you enjoy them.
