Description In south america in many beaches you still can go around with your car over the sand, the cars, the wind, the birds, the people walking, everything leaves behind a wonderful piece of art...
Lino Clemente, Caracas/Miami/the World Member Since March 2009 Artist Statement I travel the world and left my country just to discover what I already knew, I have been always, since childhood, an Artist. I write, I paint, and I do both with my photography too. I was given my first camera when I was about 7 years old, since then I have been taking photographs, even under most difficult circunstances.
To be an Artist and to be Southamerican gives my art a different approach. Why?, because in south america your camera is like a gold brick, or you take your photos fast and hit the mark the first time or you most probably will loose your camera and maybe your life...pressure is always a great motivation....On the other hand, once you have the photograph, its a lonely art. Not many people in south america understands that photos, great photos, are Art.
5 Years ago I went to sydney in Australia and I decided to let my passion flow and I did studies on the Australian Center for Photography.
Professionalizing my artistic life is part of my work here...
With my work my intention is to make tribute to my masters, some of them are, Ansel Adams, Peter Keetman,Robert Doisneau, Horts P Horst, Man Ray, Edward Weston, Andre Kertesz and others, while achiving my own vision. Their works inspire me to keep going forward.
"The camera is a brush that can not be restricted just to one color"Lino Clemente.
