Andy York, Melksham Member Since September 2009 Artist Statement My interest in photography began as a hobby when in my teens and this developed into my photography business in the early 1990’s.
Earning a City and Guilds in Portraiture, like many, I began my career with weddings, portraits and preschool photography, but soon my desire for more creative photography took hold.
My passion for fine art photography continued to grow, my own style emerged into something which has been described as a ‘fantastic fusion of photography and digital art, using the naked female form as a canvas creating a world of romantic fantasy’.
None of my subjects are professional models; they come from all walks of life and are drawn from among friends and acquaintances of mine and of my wife Christine.
My work can be seen on permanent display at our Melksham gallery and may be viewed at my web site www.ayork.co.uk and on Facebook at 'AYORK Photographic Fine Art'.
I am willing to discuss commissions for this style of work as well as my very popular ‘Look Good Naked’ portrait service.
