"Our Best Memories"
- Our Best Memories are of growing up together. Walking to school with the Autumn leaves falling down around us & the chickens clucking around our feet (see piece ;). Our coats keeping us cozy & warm. Big sister & Little Sister- Our Best Memories.
The original was made with many layers of vintage patterned paper applied to the background. Then I added different types of scrapbook media for various types of texture. For the clothing I layered pieces of paper to make the coats & hat. Once the Ladies were on the canvas, I hand- painted & applied many different scrapbook mediums again to bring the "Ladies" into the piece. I handpainted all of the bushes, weeds, & hedges at the bottom & top right before & after the Ladies were applied to the canvas.
